Sneijder for Tevez?

If Silva get's injured and you can play Sneijder.... That would be great. I'm Dutch so i see Sneijder playing all the time. He is the best player in the Holland team right now. If he doesn't play we have a problem

Injury prone and partial to rags (if the journos are to be believed) but a mercenary all the same .Greedy twat.

I think we MIGHT be getting Pato!!! why else have a meeting in Rio?
Below from Gazzett del sporthttp://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercat...branca-va-parlare-col-city-804209136246.shtml
Intrigue Tevez, new chapter. The Argentine striker flew to Rio de Janeiro to meet with a. D. Milan's Adriano Galliani and his manager Kia Joorabchian: Together the three make a conference call with leaders Manchester City. Meanwhile, Marco Branca, Inter's technical director, flew to London to talk with the leaders of Manchester City of Carlitos. Objective of the meeting of Branca, understand the possible operation-digit Tevez. Meanwhile, Kia has expressed a clear position Joorabchain, agent of the attacker. "We are here to close with Milan. We do not hear from Inter last August." So the agent of Argentina. In recent days there have been a rapprochement between the parties, City and Milan, and now to do the last step out of the funnel where it entered. Galliani relies heavily on the unconditional support of the player. Some rumors, also out on the "Gazzetta dello Sport" today, speak of a Tevez who has already taken up residence in Milan, near Piazza della Scala

Marcel Van Der Kraan said on TS that Sneijder has a preference to join United but if that wasn't possible he'd gladly join City. He seemed to hint that Sneijder would rather be at either Manchester club than Inter but doesn't want to force his way out and start a war.

Would still have him!! If de Rossi came as well then tin hat time but I'd let de Jong go!! He just isn't the same player this season and de rossi and sneijder in our midfield......wow!!!!!

and in English

lets not be churlish, we would take the **** in a shot. quality player.

my only issue would be fitness.
Huh Hum, did'nt you just say he was in his prime, how fit do you want him?

Damn!

Just realised what's going on!

City are going to entertain this all the way, pushing up his price, and in doing so scaring the rags off totally.

Stops them getting exactly what they need.

Well played. ;-)

Sneijder would be a brilliant signing, not many players who are both footed and have so much football intelligence. Would be great asset for our team, was already afraid he would sign for man u. Really hope this deal goes through.

Sneijder said in a dutch magazine that 'he is 90 % sure to stay in Milan but you never know in football.' Fingers crossed.

Inter have released a statement insisting “in no way did we discuss Wesley Sneijder in today’s meeting with Manchester City.”

It is well known that technical director Marco Branca was in London today and spoke with City chief Brian Marwood.

“In no way, and entirely down to our own wishes, did we discuss Sneijder in today’s meeting in London with Manchester City directors,” Branca wrote on the official club website.

Certain Italian and English newspapers had suggested Sneijder was part of the negotiations when Inter enquired after Carlos Tevez.

The Nerazzurri were reportedly given short shrift when it came to Tevez, as rivals Milan are at a considerably more advanced stage in talks.

Today Sneijder also stated he was "90 per cent" sure of staying with Inter

In his prime playing years doesnt mean peak fitness. He has had a few injuries which would be a concern, but if kept fit he should be capable of the best football of his career.

Don't want him.

What does he bring to our squad that we do not currently possess?
