Snooker

Stephen hendry has a great you tube channel involving all things snookery.
He has casual games/ chats with some great guests, and he's a surprisingly good host, given I've always thought him a bit of a dour fucker.
Think he had something removed from his arse about 10 years ago and it made him mellow and be a pretty decent pundit, commentator and interviewer.

I always found him hard to watch, despite him being one of the very best. He never "entertained" me. But he was bloody ruthless at times, and I respect him for his dedication.
Genuinely impressed with his demeanor now, comes across as a great bloke, and all his guests seem to like him.

Guess he was just a winner who took no prisoners. When he realised he couldn’t win anymore, he changed and mellowed.

I’ve never warmed to Trump. Not sure why as he’s a decent enough bloke, but a bit dull.

Spoiled as I am with growing up with the likes of Alex in his pomp, and then Jimmy, and of course Ronnie, I think I'm hard to please.
No characters in the game anymore, which is kind of why I've fallen out of love with the game in recent years

Professionalism does this. The standard has never been higher, but the mavericks are generally marginalised, unless they’re top notch.

Same in most sports to be fair and even darts too.

All gone out the window the moment they could earn a fortune for winning a couple of matches a season. No more need to learn to hustle in dingy snooker halls and still have the nous to walk away with the dosh. Also no room anymore for the exhibition circuit to help develop rapport with the audience.
