Why are the edges of the table white? Looks weird but I wonder if it’s to improve things for viewers with eyesight issues?The Seniors is currently being played at the Crucible and presumably concludes over the weekend.
It wouldn't normally be notable apart from a few well known names from the past but it's got some actual top drawer players in it including O'Sullivan. Williams was meant to play but pulled out.

Before I had to retire, I’d spent over 30 yrs travelling to and from China on business. Snooker was very popular as far back as the 90s, before they had any star players. It will boom now!Only a few minutes ago, there was an item about the Chinese snooker craze on the radio.
The chinese can study it as a subject at school and they are currently building a snooker hall that will have 1000 tables.
