Snow

How would this country go on with some actual snow? The place ground to a halt this morning when people woke up and saw snow - it was gone by 10am.

Was thinking that - a few snow flakes and temperatures around freezing and the country closes down. Trains cancelled etc... in Switzerland it’s like this (and worse) and there’s rarely travel disruption- why are we so unprepared and incompetent?

Cheers mate, the boiler just came back on in the middle of the afternoon.
I'm going to London to London tomorrow so Mrs sf has left instructions for it to be left on all night and day so that it doesn't go off again.

After several hours the heating miraculously came back on.

Your missus is probably doing what I do to mine. I turn the heating off when I go to work and just put it on when I get back. She must be freezing when I go away for the week sometimes.

Like Siberia here in Didsbury. Just took 35 minutes to drive home from Heaton Moor, average speed 6 mph. Even Didsbury Road and Kingsway treacherous.

Took dogs out on the park next to my house an hour ago, which is so high it sites a tv/sat mast, something that may be useful to me but i digress. It was a total white out, you could barely open your eyes, dogs loved it though. I was worried how long to stay out because the wind chill had it down to about -15 or so but dogs were rolling in it and snuffling about so as long as they were having fun i walked around cursing the bitter wind.

Choppers bollocks had enough though they were fighting to get back in hahahahaha.
