You'll have to be more specific as it's cold in August in OldhamIt's bloody cold here in Oldham :-( Had some flurries of snow but it hasn't stuck yet (at least not in the town centre). Bet it has higher up though.

I suspect Met Office et al give a worst case scenario forecast to cover potential legal action if they underestimate snow, wind, rain intensity etc.
