Doing the night shift with a new puppy, up at 1am, 4am, bloody cold in the garden but the night sky is so clear.

I do know that the Finnish state television channel usually has a humorous end clip on the news (a bit like our ITV - Drop the Dead Donkey etc). Whenever we get a light dusting of snow - an inch or so will do - they take a perverse delight in showing the chaos it causes (Trains cancelled, huge queues on motorways, people slipping on frozen driveways etc).

Tuesday, I did think about going to todays game but, due to a weather warning about heavy snow, I thought better of it. Forecasts kept saying heavy snow. I've opened me door, we have light rain, not a drop of snow

Just checked BBC weather, it's saying heavy snow and a graphic of the area covered white. No, there's light rain falling.

According to the forecast it was a dollop from about 7pm tonight right through to 7am tomorrow then heavy rain all day. So far no snow and don't get me wrong, the less of any kind of precipitation the better. I hate snow and ice it's looks lovely on a photo and that's about it and we don't need rain in the NW at the moment.
