The squad is magnificent, it may be possible I am about to witness, not just the best, but also the most exciting partnership in Silva and Aguero since Bell and Lee. These two should be even better.

The best squad in the Prem, and we should have a good tilt at the Champ's League.

BUT we are City! So how will we fuck it up?

Being too negative, and not going for the jugular. We're good enough, just not sure if either the players or the fans know it.

Our lack of 'istree means we are will finish second in everything because it's liverpools year this year.

Being serious I think we will fuck it up if we don't believe in ourselves like other teams do, hopefully the fact we have won the FA cup will give us that winning mentality edge that I think elluded us last season.

I juts hope all the team spirit we see on vids and stuff is for real and then i think we are going to be unstoppable,

Next year i think we will win a lot when the team has gelled the right way as well.

I think that now the current squad has tasted success and had a year to gel we are now capable of winning the league and the domestic cups has we have a winning mentality, the CL is a lot more difficult as Barcelona look undefeatable at the moment, but lets all stay positive and back our team and our manager

If any club can find a way to do it, we can. But have a little faith brother; this time we may just not screw up!!

Anything can happen. Silva/aguero could get injured. An injury to adam johnson fucked us last year! We could suffer due to champions league matches followed by an away game after each.
We should do better than last year but winning the title won't be easy.

A better judgement of our chances will be after the Blackburn game...

Quite, we may suffer injuries to key players, so do United, but they don't use that as an excuse, they always do well in the end.

I'm thinking maybe there might be a press campaign, you know like implying that Cook is up to no good, or one of our married player(s) get embroiled in a Rooney/Giggs type scandal.

More articles to pile on mental pressure. You can see it coming a mile off...

Recent History has shown that if we are top or second on New Years day we are in for a serious shout for the League. Then we will be able to seroiusly judge our chances. A lot of people are getting to giddy after one game against poor opposition. We will also see how resiliant we are after we have played the top sides in the first half of the season. If we are still up there come March - April and still in the CL thats the real serious test as the games come thick and fast playing weekend/midweek. We have the squad to cope but the innevitable injuries we will get and who to will have a big bearing.

Thats it for now.

Any injuries to key players such as Silva and Aguero will hit us hard. We need to become a team that isnt relying on one player to spark us into life. My biggest fear is that without Silva we look lost and that aint good at all. You could see that to a certain extent when he came off on Monday.

We won't fuck it up, these players are winners, out and out winners, they all have incredible mental strength.
Yaya, kun, nige David and so on have all played in big big games, nothing will faze them.
The two things we have to watch out for are.
1, Mancini reverting to negative tactics when really we should go for the throat.
2, the refs, we know what their agenda is so let's be ready for it.

Even with the two barriers I've posted it wont stop us, these players will just not allow it.

Pretty much agree with you ( and Malg who says pretty much the same), confidence and the players belief in themselves will play a big part here and Bobby relaxing, a little :-).

Where were we on new years day last season? And how many weeks were we out of the top four in the whole of last season.

This is probably the key. I watched with terror every time Mancini subbed on a defensive player with 20 minutes to go, being 1 goal up. With 5 minutes left I can understand it, but with 20? Suicide.
