Twitter and Facebook are the platforms for all the village idiots that society would have ignored decades ago.
All those annoying boring full of shit cunts and weirdos that people used to say; “don’t talk to him, he’s a fucking idiot!” about. Well they’re the main populace of Twitter and Facebook.
The bad thing is all these cunts and weirdos have got a voice now. And, worse, they all group together which seems to make them think their idiotic views have validity because all the other cunts and weirdos are spouting the same utter bollocks.
Eventually this idiocy becomes the normal way of thinking for society because society starts to dumb-down to the level of these dullards.
Another bad thing is minority views are given a platform and seem to take off, and also become mainstream.
The fucking lunatics on the far left and far right of politics get a platform to spread their misinformation and their deranged views. And because these platforms have become so dumbed-down these loony political views start to take hold of people to a wider extent. So all the political lies and bollocks that these loons regurgitate starts to become the norm because there aren’t enough intelligent people arguing these stupid views down.
I think Twitter and Facebook are extremely bad for society and are very dangerous platforms. They’re just places to spread lies, fear, hate, paranoia and victimism; and to hide truths!
There’s also the total narcissistic side to them, and Instagram, too. Have people ever been more obsessed with themselves and what other people think about them, than now? People on these platforms seem to be very needy individuals looking for validity from others to justify their existence.
I find all the fake portrayal of “great” lives everyone pretends to have and all the conceited pretentiousness of people being obsessed with taking pictures of themselves, quite pathetic! You even walk past them on a daily basis now, stood in the street taking pictures of themselves in four or five different poses and facial expressions. Years ago, you were thought of as a nutter if you turned your camera around and took a picture of yourself. Now it’s normal, they’re around every corner in every town in the world. There must be billions of them!
I do, however, like Instagram for good photos of landscapes, cityscapes, buildings, stadiums, gigs, bands and good footwear! So I don’t always group Insta with Twitter and Facebook.
