Reluctantly I agree with most of the above.

NDJ was very much part of the interim building stage of the team but I think his value to the team is no longer worthy of his place.

For me it is Barry v NDJ and Barry is more consistent, a better header of the ball and a better passer.

I would love to see a player like Xabi Alonso or similar being added in the summer to compliment this position. Jack Wilshire even.

Well that does it then - if Barry is a better passer of the ball then NDJ has to be got rid of........................

Re: So NDJ IS OFF

people are saying this because most of the teams that we have played against we dominated but once when we play in the champions league against teams that are strong as us then people will realize how important is de jong and how important is someone who is brilliant in breaking the oppositions play.

He's fell behind Barry in the pecking order but how long do we expect Barry to be putting in these performances for? He's 31 in February.

Mistake if we let him go in my opinion, he gives the other midfielders much more freedom to attack when he's playing.

Man of the match in the cup final for me, thought he was awesome.

However, we're now 8 months on and he's rarely featured this year. I love the guy, the type of player he is and his all round personality but I trust Mancini completely and if he doesn't fit in with Mancini's plans then he should leave and find another club where he can become a favourite.

The problem is that NDJ's main asset is slide tackling but in this modern game where players are claiming for fouls even when they miss kick the ball, even when he wins the ball cleanly he stills gets a yellow for excessive force and that just hampers his style for the whole game.

Will be sad to see him go if it comes to that. He was an absolute warrior last year, actually scared players into making mistakes and he really seems to enjjoy being at the club. Suppose it comes down to if he wants to be a squad player here or a first choice at a different club

I completely agree
