Thing is though people are adamant it is only us who the digs, snipes and decisions go against, as if we are the only challengers for the league, (despite only winning it once), which then totally dismisses the other clubs challenging United, or are they also counted as part of the global image, and therefore the agenda is solely against us? So is it a case of 'what we get with Sky', or a case of 'what everyone else other than united get from Sky'? If it's the former, I must have imagined the clean sweep of domestic trophies this last 3 years, and if it's the latter, well I expect Neville won't ever commentate on a game again after his digs towards them on Tuesday, that the Evening News will be shut down and the tabloids all banned from attending anything United ever again. Oh, and that Wee Davey will suspiciously die in a Parisian tunnel.Claytop said:And that Ladies and Gentleman is why we get what we get with Sky, they know the global appeal of United and don't want them tuning out.
As a match goer you won't be able to answer this, but as someone who has to watch it on the box, I can't remember the last time the commentator's even mentioned oil money or bought success etc. All I hear is how great we play, what a great goal X goal was or how well positioned we are for the title. Yes the oil money tag was used at the start, but that was to be expected, just like it was Chelsea. I haven't heard that tagged to Chelsea though for years now. The phrase 'rich club' might get banded about for both clubs, (us and Chelsea), but that is what we are - rich clubs.de niro said:Pigeonho said:I can get my head round the global branding nonsense, but people need to make their mind up as to what the so called agenda is, because there are 18 other clubs in the league after us and United, 1 which is a regular challenger, (and winner), of the league and 2 which are there or there abouts, like this season. its more of protect them rather go against us in particular over arsenal and co. the media (all forms) and the prem though are fully aware that we are the main threat overall. besides that what do you think the plastics want to tune in to? arsenal are blah blah blah or city are rich, mercenary, oil blah blah blah. they spout exactly whatever the masses want to hear. now we are too good for even refs like the other night to harm they have to come up with something else, even ffp, an invention thought up entirely to hold us back, hasn't really done the job it was meant to do.i'd like to see psg and monocot get this sort of attention.
its quite funny really because its because of the rags global image our owners chose us, we have piggy backed their space and used it brilliantly to heighten our brand, they can no longer mention the scum without a back up piece on us.
the ticking has well and truly tocked.
Dont mean to be funny about this, well actually I do but wouldn't most just choose us then and stay tuned in. Also as many Liverpool fans in Asia as rags and they have been shite for 20 yearsde niro said:He's right though, world wide plastics won't tune in to see them get beat every week, glory hunters hunt glory not competivness and interest. Why the hell do you think there has been the agenda there for so long. Think about it, Fellini and wellshit get sent off game over, about a billion foreign TV's are un plugged.
