Could he do it under a different manager?

Same for O'Reilly on the left.
 
The midfield is a huge headache now. Kovacic is clearly at the end of the road, same as Bernardo. But at the same time, Gonzalez and Reijnders both look like misfires. We have to keep Rodri on, even if he won’t renew.

We absolutely need more than just Anderson but I’m struggling to see who else we bring in.

I'd love us to sign Anderson, and I think O'Reilly and Gonzalez could do a job with him
I really don't believe Rodri will ever be the same player he was before his injury and he was a world beater when surrounded with quality such as KDB
If we received an offer close to £60M, I'd sell
And there is still the Grealish issue!
Reijnders and Savinho aren't going to make it in the prem and Marmoush should go as well

So if we lost Rodri, Savinho, Reijnders and Marmoush along with Ake, Stones and Bernardo, we need two quality centre midfielders (Anderson hopefully being one) and a centre forward who doesn't mind being second choice

We also have a big decision to make on goalkeepers
 
Replacement for Bernardo. Fuck knows how you do that though. Time Machine maybe? And a back up to Haaland for when it’s not going well.

Gonzalez hasn't made the bench recently. Think he leaves.
I honestly think we'll go for Fernandez from the Chavs
 
There's lots to do with this squad but it will take this summer and another to sort out, imo.

We need a midfielder, hopefully Anderson. I would also say another if Nico and Kovacic leave.

Marmoush, Reijnders and Savinho aren't good enough and will need replacing.

Can all this be done in one summer?

Also can Nunes and O'Reilly be as good in their positions without Pep?

Never mind getting more players in - figuring out where Reijnders, Marmoush and Gonzalez fit into all this would be a start.

Bernardo, Stones, Ake less so massive loss and not clear who will step up to provide continuity we have had since Kompany, Silva, Yaya Toure et al days.
