So, what DO you believe?

I am of the same mind as you fbloke,I believe the long term future of our beloved blues is immense and we are only at the beginnings of it.We are taking great strides in creating the best squad we've had in decades.....So come on Blues BELIEVE.....

Whilst working a train last week i got talking to a blue who's 2 year old son was weaing the old purple city kit. We both agreed how lucky his son will be as he'll grow up seeing City dominating europe as well as England. Both myself and his dad have seen so many dissapointments but i'm positive that typical city is dying to be replaced by Impossible city doing stuff we never thought imaginable 10 years ago.

And that is the truth, lucky kids to be supporting City now deffo.
Not like us poor bastards who have been to hell and back loads of times

I just hope and pray we start getting it oh so right,so the owner doesnt lose any faith.....cause its a good job lads like us havent over the years

I'd like to believe city could get any player they wanted but, erm.... why aren't Villa and De Rossi here? it just doesn't work like that, for any club. players are individuals, not commodities. Both players are following long term dreams.

so I 'BELIEVE' we're getting better about keeping the setbacks out of the public eye. ;)

seriously we're playing the game much, much better. I reckon we always have a very very good second option, which usually seems to be linked to the other deals. i.e. we keep an interest in two players linked to a competitor, they get one, we get the other. either way, we get a great player.

The thing worth commenting on is that we've been around a while now. That works for and against us. People take us very seriously, but unfortunately the they only go there for the money tag will linger until we start winning. What it does mean is that relationships with some individuals who we've courted over a period of time, are starting to come to fruition. Yaya and Silva are perfect examples of this.

Big players, big deals, often seem to work this way... Villa to Barca, Trannie to Madrid. Our time is only just starting.

Pastures new for me,after 50 years watching city being blown by the winds of fate, you inevitably suffer poverty of ambition, and it becomes the norm to see survival as a victory. Having much higher aims takes some getting used to,and the under-dog mentality is hard to shift. The way things are shaping up with the squad and the stadium developments the future has never been so bright, all that is needed now is proof that the manager is the one to get the job done, and that can only come when the season kicks off. Cautiously optimistic ,but i dont under-estimate the difficulty of getting a large squad all marching in step, week after week, home and away.We should qualify for europe,we should do well in the cups, it's just.............. so uncity-like to be up there.

Apologies if my positivity bores any of you but I thought I would ask how all of YOU see City nowadays.

(I remember the split when I posted about City being at a Tipping Point for example)

There are many on here who believe, like I do that there is almost nothing that City cannot achieve, both on and off the field.

There are of course the nay sayers and doubters, and the 'ickle cityers' as mentioned by Tolmie today.

I personally believe that City could get ANY player they wanted (money talks of course) but that they are holding back for now, and not necessarily hitting all the players that they might get say two years hence.

But I also have faith in the people running the club about the motives and methods they use to achieve the goals they have set.

Now belief cannot be proven as it is BELIEF but I do BELIEVE in City as the very biggest of clubs in the world.

But what do you BELIEVE?

Need to start winning stuff before people get too carried away - for me we still desperately need a left back and if we are after Dzeko then just fookin buy him

Apologies for forgetting the original poster but on a thread in the early hours I said that it looked like City woud have the 3rd best squad in world football.

I suggested

Real Madrid
Barca
City

He responded by saying we have the 7th best with Chelsea, Arsenal and United all above us.

I am sorry but United's squad BETTER than City's?

Shake off the old image of City AND of United would be my advice.......

But at this stage and untill we see different United still have the best TEAM.

Do I believe we can once again be the best team in England and one of the best in Europe?

Yeah it's nothing new despite what the $ky educated rag mob would like you to believe.

Full circle.

Liverpool dominated the league and United went 20+ years without a title from 68 - 92

United have dominated the league and Liverpool have gone about 20 years without a title.

Now its City's turn.

Thats what I believe and its helped by finances and academies and debt and developments.

But its what I believe.

And I cannot understand why any other CIty fan doesn't either. It seems so obvious to me.

But hey thats what belief is.
