So what is wrong at the moment?

Worst display by a city team in a "must win " game I have seen, and I have been watching them for 60 years.

Fuck Hart and Yaya off, get Simeone in as manager, spend 200 million on Messi, get Guidetti back, lower the ticket prices so we can get some real working class fans back.

As to last night in particular - Joveflick (hat tip to whomever on here I nicked that from), Clichy and Milner delivering it directly to the first CSKA player they saw certainly did not help.

In general that has been a huge part of what is wrong I think. Milner has had many games like this. Toure had a big run of them. And Joveflick? Fucking hell. I hate to say this about any of our players but I would not be disappointed to never see him play for us again. He certainly needs to be given a little more of a chance, but on balance he has been horrific since coming back from the latest injury.

I blame the new training complex, no improvement since we moved in. Knock it down and start again !
;o)

Damn gypsies curse again!

It's simply a question of the players understanding their role and what they're supposed to do and where they are supposed to be for different scenarios on the pitch, too many times so far this season when an attack has broken down and possession has been lost and because the midfield push up too far and in too many numbers it leaves the defence totally outnumbered and swamped by flexible, pacy and very mobile counter attacking teams. I've lost count of the amount of times we've been left 5 v 3 or 2 good teams will destroy such cavalier tactics so I feel Pell has to become more guarded in his tactics and reign in the "charge of the light brigade" style attacks and play a 5 man midfield 2 of which STAY PUT in a holding role just to take the pressure off the back 4 having said that there's been some basic piss poor defending too, well coached teams have soon identified our achilles heel and now know our defence is our very soft underbelly. I think Pell has to start sorting out who's up to the job and who isn't because the same errors are coming from the same players week in and week out and the new arrivals haven't covered themselves in glory either they look all hype and no substance so far to me.

And get Franny Lee back to replace that useless Al Mubarak clown as well.
That's a bit of a knee-jerk PB
;-)

It's down to a lack of confidence, it's as simple as that. All teams go through bad spells & it's our turn now.
The international break will probably do us a favour and It will give the international players a chance to get away for a week and take their minds of the current form.
Hopefully then normality will resume.
