Might be worth having a read of the thread entitled "own up if you wanted Ireland out last season thread". Patience is a good thing.

depends if he instills a consistansty within the team and if the team starts to win away from home

To be fair, most of this board had run out of patience with Superman last year. I've never booed the lad or called for his head, but before this season, I would have been happy to see him go.
I'm now more than happy to be proved wrong.

Patience can be a good thing. But it doesn't guarantee you'll get what you want.

Impatience does not seem to have been that good for us over the past 30 odd years though. The very definition of absurdity is to keep doing the same thing and then expect different results.

3 Brazilians, Ireland, SWP combine together to produce great attacking football at home, but Hughes has been unable to get this squad to perform away from home.

Is that Hughes's fault? I don't think so - we just don't have the right balance in the squad.

I think there was a fair bit more to do with our lack of success than impatience.

I expect us to achieve in future whether we are patient like the rags, or trigger happy like the more successful Real Madrid.

Yes it is partially Hughes fault.

And our squad is no more unbalanced than several squads doing a whole lot better than us.

So improvement is needed from all concerned.
