Only for standard Old Firm refereeing to hand the game to one of the twin cheeks. ‘Twas ever thus.

He was more than decent at East End Park, never for a moment imagined he’d reach as high as he did but that’s what hard work does.

Really sad news.

Just no age, came across as a decent lad as well. Can't imagine losing someone that young, his family must be devastated.

Sounds like he'd had a reoccurrence. How devastating.

His partner Chloe has said: "For the last few years I have watched Sol fight his cancer head on with an astounding mental and physical strength and stoicism. Unfortunately, it was never a fair fight and just when things were looking up he took a downturn and finally succumbed on 31st August."

This is really sad news.

No one should lose their life at 39, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.
