Sat here watching Valencia v Barca on SS3, just thinking to myself that Soldado is one player I haven't heard us linked with on here. I haven't heard anything, just interested in peoples opinions on him. He's 27 in May, scored 20 la liga goals this season. I'm sure Valencia are still in financial troubles so for a player 2 years into his contract this summer I doubt he'd cost silly money. Always looked a good player whenever I've seen him. A bit of pace without being extremely fast, links up well with the midfield. Imo he'd fit in well with us.

From what I've seen of him, he is a fantastic finisher, just entering the prime of his career. Wouldn't mind if we signed him, but he wouldnt be a regular.

Spain's best striker at the moment, a really good player. He might actually be a regular for us as he would work sublimely with our skillful wizards Aguero, Silva, and Nasri. Not saying he is better than Dzeko but might suit our style better than he does.

I feel sorry for Soldado. He's scored about 25 goals more than Fernando Torres over the last calendar year, yet Torres will be selected to go to Euro 2012.

Same as Benzema couldn't get a start until Higuain's form took a serious dent?

Who ever scores plays, isn't it that simple? Or should the cost of the player - Torres, Carroll - be the deciding factor?

I would take Soldado in a heart beat.
