I genuinely don't get the stipe / rem thing. They were good up to 1985 and shite thereafter.

I'm a better singer than michael stipe, and I'm a better guitarist than peter buck.

Neil Diamond for me.
Neil Young isn't really a front man,hes sort of been pushed to the front, although Heart of Gold was/is phenomenal still.
