I put £25 in my car yesterday, all i had on me was a hundred pount note. Just as i was leaving the petrol station, a car backfired and startled me terribly awful. I must've dropped the change, on my way back to the car. I can only assume it was the lad behind me in the queue, who picked it up, he was wearing a rag top manufactured illegaly as the sponsor printed on the front said EON and the number was the wrong way round.

Hundred pound note??

I find that petrol works better. ;-)

Not if its a diesel ;)

You see if you were a mere pauper like the majority of us on here who would only be able to flash a £20.00 note as the highest denomination you wouldnt have lost anything!

They would be really useful for me, but people get funny about taking scottish notes south of the border.....I'll drop a line to Mervyn King and suggest this in England

That's why i spend them on fuel! Asda is the only supermarket that take them no questions asked. I bought my daughter a new ipad yesterday, fuck me they thought i was paying them in monopoly money! Twice i was asked if i had a card or other cash.
