They very nearly had me! For the last 24 hours I've been racked with this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. 100 million for one player? 500k a week? It just didn't seem right. Morally... it just seemed ludicrous.

But you know? Fuck it! It's not been easy going through life as a City fan (especially living in Salford for the most part). We've been shit on more times than I care to remember and I feel like we're finally getting our just desserts. So what if we smash the transfer record? It's not like it hasn't been done before on many occasions. And so what if we pay him 500k a week? Yeah, it's crazy money but if the owners are happy to shell it out then who am I (and all the other clueless, jealous, soundbite-happy pundits they've wheeled out) to argue?
