Something’s changed

Tonight waiting for the game to start in the top of SS L3, the buzz from the people coming in especially the younger ones was all for Haaland, the only time I’ve seen fans like this was when Messi came into town for the few games he played against us. That change is Haaland, he is a World Superstar already, I also got the impression the typical City is disappearing, certainly from me, this lad has the capability to take us to the next level and beyond. Don’t get me wrong the last 10 years have been brilliant, but this lad, he’s brought something with him, I don’t want to get big headed as a City fan but there’s an air of invincibility about this team with him in it. I never thought anyone could be better than Aguero but by God this lad if he stays 5 years could out smash a lot of his records.
Yep. Noticed a different buzz around the stadium at the Forest game.

Yes your right,Great seeing the kids so excited to see not just Haaland but CITY
Were just getting bigger and bigger and it’s fucking great

I play footy three times a week, big group of lads so lots of faces and teams supported. It's just a large collection of people gawping and saying "i dont get it, he's incredible". Or some derivation of. A sunderland fan called him the best striker who's ever lived today :D

one voice of dissent said he isn't that technically gifted but knows where to stand. I sort of agree, very loosely, with that reductive summary. Haaland is global superstar level, without a shadow of a doubt.

One other thing i noticed; fans of other teams talk about him the player, and not City so much, in the way that many people talked about Messi and not as much about Barca. It's an interesting parallel, i thought.

I got chatting to a bloke behind me last.night, his accent sounded scouse, asked him and he was ,a liverpool fan too,he was there with 4 kids, all City fans.He wasn't happy them being blues, but still paid and brought them all,he came to the dortmund game too, fair play to him.
I remember many years ago, (80's or 90's) hearing 4 scouse guys queueing up to go in the main stand. I asked them if they were at the wrong game. I was told that they were all all life long City fans. I found this really hard to believe because it was hard for a Manc to be a blue in them days nevermind a scouser, or four.

I said to a mate last night that I love and enjoy every single MCFC goal, whether it’s the first or the 7th. But, for some reason I enjoy it more when Haaland scores.

I love him

Blimey the things we do for our kids.
Imagine any of us taking the kids to watch Liverpool...

I can't even contemplate that!

I seriously wouldn't do it, you have to bring your kids up properly.
It was my stepdad that was the blue. Dad a dipper, Mam a rag. When I decided to support City neither of them liked it but they always backed me, bought me shirts, brought me to games. Dad even rang me from Turkey on holidays on the 13th May 2012 to celebrate with me when we won the title. Actually didn't mind the dippers winning the league couple of years back as he'd passed away that Christmas, just wish he'd gotten to see it.

My eldest is a blue but my youngest supports Arsenal (his mother's influence). I'll buy him Arsenal shirts and bring him to games no problem, he's the right to choose his own team and if City are out of contention for a trophy and Arsenal can win it I'll be cheering the cunts on because I want him to be happy.

Pep's reaction last night perfectly captured how I feel about it all. I'm just a bit delirious every time he scores. Like you're seeing something unbelievable and very special every time it happens. I enjoyed the second one more than the first last night, for that reason, he's just always in the right place at the right time. Feels like he could score a hattrick by balls hitting the crossbar and hitting him in the face.
