Something in your first car that isn't in your current car

Cassette player. Cigarette lighter. Tax disc.

A number plate that began with a single letter of the alphabet as part of the number plate system of the time.

Mate had an old old VW beetle where he'd stuck a calculator on the dash.
Apparently that model didnt have a fuel guage, just a 'reserve' tank activated by a lever. When he was running out of fuel you'd get a massive wiff of petrol, and then had about 50yds to twist the lever (to stop it conking out), which would then give him an extra 1-2 miles to find a petrol station.
After a fair few walks petrol can in hand, he added the calculator so he could work out of how many miles a fiver of petrol would give him.

The joy of driving to work in the rain in a beat up Fiat 127 after years of waxed cotton on a motorbike. About a million road miles later I take all the luxuries for granted

Highly polished chrome bumpers, front and rear. A manual lever for raising and lowering the glass sunroof. A button which was pressed to raise end lower the electric aerial. (I was so proud of that car).
