At what stage last season did Tevez demand Mancini was sacked? 1 game in, 2 games in, 5 games in? Either way i find it hard to believe

The "rumour" surfaced around Easter if I remember correctly ;-)
April 1st?

Why would he demand him to be sacked, why wouldn't he just say at the end of his 6 month contract make sure you get rid because afterall he was only on a temparary contract wasn't he so there would be no need to sack him but just to not extend his contract?

The "rumour" was the Tevez's agent told Abu Dhabi that if his contract was extended he wanted to leave

Which was obviously not true as they're both still here.

How soft are footballers, a dead leg keeps him out of training for days? I got a dead leg when I banged my leg on a school table when it was end of lesson years ago and I still had to do P.E that afternoon.

Some years ago I had a discussion with a qualified physio about a professional rugby league player who had been out injured with a dead leg for 6 weeks. The physio told me that this was not at all unusual. Most dead legs are fairly minor injuries and clear up quickly. But if the injury is deep in the muscle they will take much longer. He said that the dead leg is the most underrated of all sporting injuries.

It would be interesting to know whetherthe initial comments about Tevez being back for the Wolves match were based on a proper medical assessment or were simply the coaching staff jumping to the same conclusion as yourself.

I used to play rugby union at a fairly high level until injury put paid to that ambition but thats by the by. anyway I had a dead leg for just over a week, it was like a constant numb but warm feeling so I can appreciate the severity of it but I still had to go to training even though I didnt participate fully, I wasnt allowed to just sit at home and chill.

Exactly - when players like Terry, Wio, Lampard, Gerrard, even Rat Boy etc etc are injured they are still in and around the club showing committment and support.

he's out for 10 days and his daughter is ill, mancicni let him go home for a break !

shite thread.

its like reading the sun.

In fairness, when Rio, Gerrard etc are injured they can still be in and around the club and have their families around them, because their families all live local.

I'm sure if they had a little girl who wasn't too well living abroad and they were injured, their club would let them go and see them. Rooney for example was on holiday last week celebrating his new contract!

I read that the Argentinian Womens team were being treated for various sprains and niggles at the same time as Carlos. Maybe it's not a excess blood in his thigh that's the problem?

He could simply have been referring to the agreement between them both for Tevez to go back to Argentina for a bit rather than to any argument between them.

And as I understand it, the "unknown quack" is the Argentinian national sides physio.

The dead leg will have prevented him from training for several days anyway and the rest of the squad then go off to Poland. Why not let him rest up with his family in a place he clearly misses while getting physio off a top-notch professional?

you're absolutely right old chum - I had a chinese burn once in afternoon play and still managed a long leisurely w*nk when I got back from school.

These guys just need to toughen up!
