Son injured in car accident under schools care?

Pretty much seems that way.
The driver will be insured as will the passengers so i'd have thought any costs incurred (???) would be covered.

On a side note, them fucking lazy bastard teachers eh, ferrying kids to school door to door and whatnot...
Unless he doesn't have business cover and just personal in which case he may be fucked. Poor useless driving sod.

I get that but on what grounds. Why in this country does everyone think they entitled to claim at every opportunity. It was an unfortunate accident that has happened why claim?

I think that's the gist of most people's responses on this thread mate. His Son is fine, why think of suing?

He also hasn't told us how the teacher is, especially as they bring his son home from school (which in itself is a little strange).

So this is the done thing now though bud?

After an accident people look to try and get a compo claim?
I've heard of someone winning a claim after she slipped in her hotel shower. Her argument was they didn't provide a shower mat!

Don't get in the shower before you do your risk assessment then love.

Seems very irregular for a school to have a teacher transport a pupil to and from school in their own vehicle.

These arrangements are usually done with a licensed cab firm.

well its no ones business why he gets pick up and dropped off is why i wont explain i asked some advice as the school he goes its common practice to pick up the children to attend.....

The teacher is fine same as my son banged about a little as was another co worker with them.

As said i wanted advice as i didn't know what the practice was after such a situation as i have never been in one myself shoot me for thinking about my son.

We are all glad you are thinking about your son mate, and also very pleased that he, and the others, weren't injured in anyway. You must have been shocked when you were told the news. The bit most of us were inquiring about was why you asked about suing in the first place.

I am sure a lot of people have done for a lot less but it was not the point of me asking in all honesty.

we are still unsure at the moment if it was the teachers fault or not and i dont want my son to be put in that situation again you put trust in the people that are doing there job if he was at fault then i wouldn't want it happening again whether that was by claiming or not thats why i asked trust me concerning my son its not about the money as some have come to presume.

Someone at my old place won about £27 K for slipping on a wet floor at work because there was no sign warning of a wet floor. He got a written warning for mopping the floor without putting up a wet floor sign too.
