I'm gonna upset a lot of you by saying that Godley & Creme penned the music and some of the lyrics for utd originally.
However, they could not get the lyric right by having to incorporate "united!" and so turned their attention to City and "The Boys in Blue" was born.......as a utd cast off!

As a Doves fan, I think their version of Blue Moon is dire, thought it was Rise by P.I.L. at first, (only for a moment)there's an idea for a song for the team to come out to.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but wondered what ppl thought of the Blue Moon song by the doves at the end of the game. i'm a big fan of the doves, but personally i dont think its a patch on the good old 'Boys in Blue'!! - GREAT song.

So what do you prefer, The Doves, or Boys in Blue?

There should be only one version of blue moon played and thats.
