Little snippit:-
The guitarist "Junior" Campbell on the left went on to make a fortune because he co wrote the music to "Thomas the tank engine"
Nothing wrong with Slade and Sweet, did some great songs, there were stories that Blackmore tried to get Brian Connoly for Deep Purple. When I was a kid we had new neighbours move in next door. At the time I was listening to Slade, Sweet, the Osmonds and all the rest of that crap.
The new neighbour caught wind of this and was having none of it. He gave me Humble pie - Rocking the Fillmore and Deep Purple - Made in Japan.
I bought Alice Copper - Schools out and Wings - Band on the run.
Then came punk.
