Songs you associate with City (other than the obvious)

James, sit down.

Always remember being on the Kippax May 1991 when we beat Sunderland 3-2 to relegate them. Pretty sure we just equalised before half time, crowd was pretty euphoric and sit down came on over the tannoy.

Loads sat down on the terrace, Sang the lyrics etc. Great moment.

I remember this classic.

Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we gooooooo
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go

Unless I was in magic mushrooms or something or my hearing was off!

This song always resonates with me, just the one line "Catch the Blue Train".

RIP Robbie.

Baker Street by Undercover because they played it 'live' in the centre circle on Sky's first MNF.

This song was kept off the UK no. 1 spot by Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap.

Wandering Star, Lee Marvin. Travelled down to London on overnight Standerwick coach. Colne to London Victoria.for the 1970 League Cup Final v West Brom, journey took about 8 hours then. Drunk sat behind us, sang it for 8 effin hours!

"Wild Thing" by The Troggs. Because four of us sang it on Blackpool promenade after City played at Bloomfield Road one time.

(Which City player most lives up to it, though? That's another question. "Wild thing, you make my heart sing, you make everything groovy - I think I love you.")
