Songs you don't hear anymore (some for obvious reasons!)

in the eighties, when a line of coppers walked by an away end.

We've fought in France, We've fought in Spain
We've fought in the wind, we've fought in the rain
We've fought on the Kop, we've fought in the Shed
But best of all we like kickin' in reds.

(Tom Hark)

City's the team we are the best team in the land playing away games we're always in command(now and again) we may lose a point or two but we never do despair cos yer can't beat the boys in the old sky blue when they come from Manchester, CITY CITY CITY.

Kick `em all, kick `em all.
Come on you Blues kick `em all.
If you see any red shit then fuckin` well kick it.
Come on you Blues kick `em all.

Just remembered 1 from being a kid in the 60`s.

Standing on spion kop throwing bricks at Roger Hunt, all of Liverpools a brothel & Roger Hunts the biggest c*nt.

Sven should pick Darius, Sven should pick Darius!!

I remember we had a different version of "you fat bastard".
And, I'd rather be a "something" than a red.
Then there was, " when the red red robin goes bob bob bobbing along....... shoot the bastard. Tip toe through the stretford with your handbags and your water pistols was good as well, but.
nothing beats, "if I had the wings of an eagle, and I had the arse of a crow, I'd fly right over old trafford, and shit on the bastards below, below. And shit on the bastards below". Oh yeah, "Georgie best, superstar, wears frilly knickers and a playtex bra".

Don't know why, but I always remember the chant 'Fry's Turkish Delight.....SHIT' when we played Fenerbahçe in '68. It was chanted most of the night, from what I remember and in the school yard the following day. To this day I cannot eat a bar of said confection without silently chanting it.

ha I seem to remember that FAINTLY.....its all becoming blurry now and distant past.

We're gonna win the cup
We're gonna win the cup
so now you're gonna believe us
so now you're gonna believe US
so now you're gonna believe USssssss

We're gonna win the cup!

(maybe this year we can sing it again???)
-------------------

one I can't remember all the words:

blah blah blah blah blah
I don't know why
cos after the match you're gonna die

We hate Nottingham Forest
We hate Liverpool too and West Brom
We hate Manchester United
But City we love you

Oh I do like to walk beside the seaside
Oh I do like to walk beside the sea
Oh I do like to walk along the prom, prom, prom
With the brass band playing
Fuck off West Brom

Peter Swales's a wanker
He wears a wankers hat
and when he wears it back to front
He looks a fucking twat
I can't recall singing this for Swales though I do remember singing it when Billy McNeill fucked off the Villa!
Now this one should be changed to "Ferguson"

I'm dreaming of a Blue Wembley .....

Apart from the fact we didn't have a decent cup run for years to get it going I think the line about the scousers meant it couldn't be sung again.

me and a few others sung this on our way into the ground at lecister :)

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
Just like a team that's going to win the FA Cup (Again)
We shall not be moved

T I T S, tits out for the lads
I said,
T I T S, tits out for the lads

Who's that lying on the platform
Who's that stamping on his head
It's Tommy Doc the red, with a Blue upon his head
Cause he can't see Mary Brown again

And its Manchester City
Manchester City F C
Their by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen

New Version to avoid offence to liverpool

I'm dreaming of a Blue Wembley
Just like the one's I use to know
They'll be Blue flags flying, and Scousers CRYING
To see, City win the cup.

In the 70s & 80s City use to sing, You'll never walk alone, as did all other clubs
