Songs you love and why

I was introduced to the Beatles aged 10. They were new out and very different to what was before.
My older brother bought every one of their albums as they were released. Consequently I grew up listening to every album and single and EP. Especially when he was out.:)
Each album was like an event.
I love everything by them.
The songs take me right back to those growing up years.
7 years later they split up.

Manchester City and The Beatles. My first loves.

Ace of Spades, I used to sing that to my kids when they were just born, full throttle I may add. If I’m up, they’re up. Little fuckers.
That song does it for me and yet I’m a sucker for a good story and lyric in an acoustic setting too.
This gets me every time I hear it.
Sheer poetry.
“Two broken Tigers on fire in the night, flicker their souls to the wind”

I grant you, Agadoo-doo-do it is not, but man that album and that song in particular take me back.
A history and poetry lesson with immaculate Spanish guitar.

Because everyone loves an England. Pop all these errant souls into battle dress and I will give you another British Empire!

There'll Always Be An England followed by the Jaw droppingly exquisite Pretty Vacant.

The simplest yet probably the greatest of all song intros.
