The best players in the league this season play at Leicester, Tothenham, and West Ham.
The players who have consistently looked a class above the rest
Mahrez, Payet, Ozil, Erikson. Those are the midfielders who are difference makers this season.
Then the next level has Kante, Drinkwater, Alli, Dembele, DeBryune, Barkley, Willian, Mourihno.
Before the likes of Silva, Yaya or the Hazard Fabregas who are even further down the pole.
Totally disagree with that as well. If anything Leicester are the perfect example how big an impact coaching (and confidence) can have on the same group of players.
Well, the impact of coaching and confidence is hard to judge. It's all opinion. When you do well, they say you have good coaching, when you do poorly, they say you have poor coaching. Even when the coaching doesn't change.
There is a reason why Leicester's coach was once called the tinkerman, coz he sucked (at least, that was the perception then) until now that he is winning, and suddenly he is coaching great.
Personally, I see it as great ascription. People ascribe events to an overall person. In sports its often the coach or captain. In reality, im sure there actual influence is minimal.
I agree on confidence though. It's a function of where on the pole you think you are. We used to believe we were the best and thus played the role, while others played the role of being inferior, and thus, the results often confirmed the belief. But when talent starts to show something different from the belief, the belief then changes.
If we had to play Leicester again on the road, I bet they wouldn't show us the respect that earned us a draw at their place, or at United's place. These teams now see us as a mid table team you can go out and play openly and beat. And the facts agree with that belief.
Injury has helped that fact, but by and large we are a biteless big dog. Who has to get healthy and scrap to make top 4.
