First of all, for even the most biased city fan, that result HAS been coming over the past few games at Eastlands. For the first time today though, I really did ask myself the question of whether or not weve hired another monkey when with 20 minutes to go, he leaves on an absolutely anonymous pairing of Barry and De Jong; taking our creative midfielder off for Patrick Vieira. Now granted Stevie wasnt having his greatest game, but where is the fucking logic behind this move, when you're leaving those two on the pitch. Once again, a game in which De Jong never should take part in, and one that Barry was horrendous in.

Someone tell me im being irrational so soon after what feels like a defeat.

Tell you the truth IM not to arsed about the subs etc!!!, its more to do with us playing well in spells and then suddendly losing control of the game. We lose the tempo, give the ball away countless times and dont get back playing to our strengths by getting the ball out wide to swp/petrov again to where we were getting some joy.

Thought overall we played better today than Portsmouth, Hull & Bolton. Not that it was good enough or acceptable but we had width, attacking players and options to begin with.

The set up definitely looked like a side which had balance, but can you really differentiate between all 4 performances? In all honesty, I thought they were all as negative as eachother. Luckily weve got the 6 points, but if this is an indication (and 4 games is quite a lot of football time) of what were going to be watching at Eastlands, then I really cant get very enthusiastic about it. Its been dreadful.

There were spells where we dominated today, something i don't think we've really done in the last three games... it was nice to see players like SWP and Ireland running forward, i'd forgotten what that looked like!

First 10 minutes we were back to the 'old' City... two touches and pass, getting the ball wide and creating chances in and behind the defence. Why we slowed down i've no idea.

Fuckin wankers want a good fuckin twating after that wank display, dogshit cunts need paying more greenbacks, fucking cunts.

I think thats the thing that people arent realising though, we might well have been supporting a load of shit for the whole of our lives (definitely mine), but that isnt what we are now. Were one of the most expensively assembled sides in the world, and so we bloody SHOULD be getting the ball wide, creating chances and dominating games, we have more than enough quality to do so. 10 minutes worth of "domination" is an embarrasing amount of time spent in control against Stoke City, never mind the other three.

Are you for real? Barry had a brilliant game in my books. Vieira ensures we win the midfield battle and gives us presence. If anyone was anonymous it was Stevie Ireland, not De Jong or Barry. I think the writing is on the wall for Ireland. Yes, loads of us love him, but only on last seasons performances, not this seasons.
