"Soulless"...

It's all bollocks as well we know.
I could accept "soulless" if, like MKD we didn't exist 20 odd years ago but we have a rich, interesting (and traumatic for the fans) history going back 129 years.
We won major trophies before Arsenal and the rags, we won the FA Cup three times before the dippers won it.
We held crowd records at Maine Road and regularly filled the Etihad (or COMS as it was) before the takeover.
Soulless is a word that fans use when they think they're being clever:
All new grounds are deemed "soulless", not because they are, but because they aren't badly re-developed crumbling shitholes.
Fans are soulless if they support successful teams but fans of lower division team are "real fans". That's utter shite; fans who go to games are real fans whoever they support.
And there was nothing "soulless" about the atmosphere last night.

Fans from other teams are obsessed with us, they mention us on every article on social media, even on stories that have nothing to do with us.

You just have to laugh at their jealousy.

You can't buy success.
Your owner will get bored.
Wait till your owner leaves.
All your success is bought.
You were founded in 2008.
You have no history.
You have no fans.
Your fans sing about tragedies.
You have no atmosphere.
115 charges must be true.

Consolation tales for losers.

Souless the latest one, our owners will get bored and walk away, Peps a fraud, out spent every other team, sports washing, never won the champions league. Red mafia crying means we are doing alright.

Pep will leave in the next few years and that will be a big task finding a suitable replacement. There doesn’t seem to be a good pool of go to managers like there was maybe 10-15 years ago.

The owners though, it feels like they are embarking on taking the club and the whole CFG up another notch. The Co-op Livr arena opening at the end of this year, the extension of the North Stand with a hotel and new fan facilities built. It feels like we are being set up for world domination.

I remember being at school getting grief from some United fans about how United were great and City were rubbish. I eventually snapped and responded "yeah well our players have better haircuts". Calling us soulless is this level of analysis.

It goes along with the compliment/complaint that we are competently run and although other teams have spent big we have spent better.

But we did have better haircuts

But we did have better haircuts

Still do.
