Souness

It'll all be forgotten once Allan Carr, Frankie Boyle, Joe Rogan etc say something new to attract the attention of the permanently outraged.

...but that's also my point, there might be people quick to being offended but it's a tiny amount of people on twitter. There's also a small amount of people looking to see if people are offended so they can get angry and indignant about it.

News sites then amplify this nonsense.

Just had a quick glance; 17 and a half million Twitter users in UK. Worth bearing in mind the next time reading a “really popular” tweet which has something like, ooh, a couple of thousand Likes. Drop in the ocean stuff really.

Sums up social media this whole thing.

Someone says something clumsy.

A couple of people complain on twitter.

News sites say there has been FURY over it.

People get angry that some people complained, thinking it's loads of 'lefties' and 'woke this and woke that.'

Other people get involved criticising those getting angry and those who complained.

On and on it goes...

You missed the bit where often, someone gets sacked.

Amazing given it’s only a couple of people on twitter complaining eh?

We both know that comment is far from the truth. People take offence to anything and everything in today's society. I know people disagree on certain things but you'd hope that the people involved are mature enough to work things out.

So for instance, You're last paragraph i could turn that into something out of absolutely nothing. Female footballers that have won the European Championships this year have called out Souness for his remarks, So are you saying that the England female footballers that have recently won the Euros are "Nobodies"?

I'm not saying that you are making a remark like that, But in today's society if you said something like that on Live TV you'd hung out to dry.
What I'm saying is people love twisting things and making unnecessary drama nowadays. Actually going out of their way to look for something to moan about.

Without googling it, can you name the starting eleven and subs used?

Was Souness sacked?

Yes, it often is not that many people.

You'd think it was hundreds of thousands to millions the way the news sites report it and then contact companies to see if the person will be sacked. Read their articles and it's usually 2 or 3 tweets.

Absolutely bang on. These type of occurances are grabbed and celebrated and spread around by the gammons like the straight bananas, poppy bans and Winterval. Sometimes i wonder if they are even False Flag type exercises.

Nobody sensible gives a fuck about Souness's comments yet the Mail and Express will be frothing at a reaction that never occurred.
