Cavani one was a blatant dive, **** (him not you)

I'd don't think it was and I imagine most City fans would want it if it was us in a Champions League knockout.

I know he's completely played for it but he's got goal side of the defender, slowed down and then been kicked and bundled over. Ghanaian player had to run around him to be sure not to foul him, instead he runs into the back of him.

I won't shed a tear given who's involved though but I thought the ref/var got it wrong.

I'd want that Cavani and Nunez penalty if it was City.

I know Cavani's slowed down and bought it but I'd still want it, he's kicked the back of his leg, accidental or not. The Nunez one was obvious though.
He’s kicked in the back of the leg because he throws it out wider than normal in his run into the box to initiate the contact, it’s fucking cheating and I can’t believe none of the pundits called it.

He's played for it but I think he can do that once he's got goal side of the defender.

We see strikers cut across defenders all the time because any trip or kick is a penalty/free kick.

He's slowed down to make sure there is contact, he's definitely looking for it but he is definitely kicked by the Ghanaian defender in the back of the calf. His leg went wider to shield the ball from the man.

It's not as obvious as the Nunez one which I can't believe they didn't give but I'm surprised neither were given.

Seriously, why are players from teams that realistically stand zero chance of winning it crying at going out a round early?

Well the reason why they are in the very very very very few people that make it as a footballer at this level is because they don’t think like that.

It takes almost a deluded level of belief to get to that stage in sports.

Talk to a pro boxer who isn’t that good and he will still have the belief (to a degree) he can beat a top pound for pound level fighter.

There's having belief in yourself, then there's pure delusion. Kdb had the sense of realism to admit they stand no chance and they're the second ranked team in the world and he's the best midfielder on the planet.
