Perfect as in we dominated the game they put every player in the 18 yeard box and we couldn't score. How do tactics work when you are already 90% in there half?

Tbf if we can't do it now after all these years we never will. Teams always do it and we have had some great teams that struggle to break them down.

Although I do wonder what var regards as sufficient contact for a penalty, as apparently a blatant two armed shove isn't enough.

The real issue to my mind is not the personnel but the tactics. We are so slow on the transition, the low block guys are waiting for us. Cue sideways passing.
We need to play at a faster tempo and mix it up with longer balls.

After about 82/83 minutes and a rare attack from them that broke down, Bernardo had the ball in our own third, probably 5 Southampton players near our box, I thought great, time to break quickly, but what does Bernardo do, puts his foot on the ball and turns back towards our goal, absolutely pathetic

One was in everybody's predicted lineup right up to the point he was dropped and v/banished into thin air, the other is really starting to look at home in the shirt.

Wish I had watched that before deciding to spend £125 on a Cup Final ticket last Tuesday.

A disgraceful performance all round. Why oh why go back to the dross of mid season when we had found a way of winning games.
