Is there any hope he'll not try to re-invent the wheel before next Saturday? It’s what he does whenever we get a good run he changes everything up. For no reason.

Mate, some people don't understand football or what it's like to support a team that's not winning a treble every seasonIt happens. Nothings certain. Pep knows there's a problem and deserves the time to fix it. If it means we win fuck all this season, so be it. I'll console myself with my vivid memories of multiple trophy lifts, from Brighton to Istanbul.
Last season both Liverpool and Arsenal lost at home, on the same day in April. They were expected to stroll to 3 points, but those results effectively handed us the title. But Klopp and Arteta weren't scrutinised like Pep.
If "happy clapping" is simply acknowledging Peps staggering achievements for our Club, then guilty as charged. He gets a free pass this season from me, and I'll judge him this time next season, if that's OK with you.
Happy Clapper...give me strength.
Bernardo had it but it's been coached out of himWatching today and previous games this it is becoming apparent to me that we don't have players who play on the half turn anymore. David, Sergio, Yaya, Leroy and Kev at his best could do that. Now the players would rather pass it back to a free man rather take on a defender or push forward.
He's having a poor season like some of the players, but other great managers have hat tough spots and bounced back and weren't binned by their clubs after the first signs of trouble. His first season here 2016/2017 was a poor season too. No trophies etc. The Year after 100 points.Problem is that Pep looks frazzled and he is stuck with the majority of this awful squad (including 200m of players who he will only play one of)
Play that side next week and we are in real trouble .Unless pep had an eye on the fa cup and those who didn't start play in the fa cup. Hence the reason for mcatee, Lewis, akanji, haaland and foden starting
The first team players need to play at least every week. No rest needed. Those 5 should not have started today.Unless pep had an eye on the fa cup and those who didn't start play in the fa cup. Hence the reason for mcatee, Lewis, akanji, haaland and foden starting
From the Calvin Philips pot of signings. Not the level of Scott Sinclair or that other perma-crock we bought around that time, but not up to snuff as one pundit used to say. What wrong with MGW? ;-)
O'Reilly and Marmoush at a minimum for me.
There is no formation or personnel that has worked thos season that did not include those 2.
Not starting them was disrespectful on Pep's part. And we've paid
Yeh but you can't honestly say. Not starting a make shift academy LB or Starting Marmoush over Haaland is disrespectful.O'Reilly and Marmoush at a minimum for me.

Not starting them was disrespectful on Pep's part. And we've paid for that disrespect.
Don't really care. I'm more bothered what we do in the final PL games and at Wembley.I'm curious if we're going to take this turgid football into the CWC.
How can you begrudge Akanji , Foden and Haaland starting. Theyve helped us dominate football for the last few years They're hardly make a wish candidates!Unless pep had an eye on the fa cup and those who didn't start play in the fa cup. Hence the reason for mcatee, Lewis, akanji, haaland and foden starting
That's what I'm saying... he should have kept the same team that's been performing. Haaland, foden, Lewis akanji, all on the bench. Keep the momentum going into the final. Not a turgid, abject performance like that. Only excuse for him starting all of those players considering our recent runThe first team players need to play at least every week. No rest needed. Those 5 should not have started today.
McAtee is a number 10 not a wide player…..not sure Pep has ever played him in his true position.I'm old enough to remember all the post-match threads this season of posters calling out Pep for not playing McAtee....
Harsh to judge him in this side as many are struggling.
Yeh but we all slaged off pep when he wasn't willing to give Mcatee a chance and he was being rumoured with Leverkusen.I’d have stuck with what worked and not played Foden, given Haaland maybe 45 mins, and put some pace on earlier….fucking ridiculous walking football for 74 minutes when we needed 3 points… just complete arrogance from the manager assuming it would be either a walkover or we didnt need all the points and it was more important to get minutes in returning players legs…utter bollocks and smacks of entitlement imo.
We are entitled to nothing.
The two players we miss the most are Mahrez and Silva. They would break down a defence like this.Watching today and previous games this it is becoming apparent to me that we don't have players who play on the half turn anymore. David, Sergio, Yaya, Leroy and Kev at his best could do that. Now the players would rather pass it back to a free man rather take on a defender or push forward.
Absolutely and next season, there’s a lethargic approach or feel now in the majority of games,I keep saying it how do you go from scintillating football like the centurion season to the dross we are seeing at times this season ..And it’s not all down to injuries aging players..I'm curious if we're going to take this turgid football into the CWC.
