Respectively, that's bollocks - Pep should have stuck with the team that dug us out of this mess in the first place. Haaland should have,been the one coming on for 10 mins at the end, not Marmoush.

We've got a cup final next week and it was obvious against Wolves that some of the lads are knackered. If Pep had played O'Reilly, Nunes, Marmoush, etc. from the start today and knackered them out for the cup final next week we'd have people saying he should have rested them in "such an easy game". In this kind of scenario he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Given the calibre of the opposition, that is arguably the worst result of the season. Certainly up in the top 3 or 4. For me, it's worse than those home defeats against Spurs and the rags. And yes; I realise that we actually got a point today, which is more than we got in those two games. But Saints are shite; 12 points in 36 games. Any we have pretensions of qualifying for the CL next season. As dogged as they defended, we really shouldn't not be beating them. 5 shots on target out of 26. Akanji coming into the team and breaking up the Dias and Gvardiol partnership and meaning O'Rielly is dropped is baffling.

McAtee playing ahead of either Doku or Marmoush makes no sense.

Come on, this season and a lot of last season was a very tough watch, this has been coming. It's garbage to watch and a few new players this summer isn't going to change anything. We need a new style of play which Pep can't or won't implement

You know we have a guy named Nico Gonzalez who could have been better paired with Kovacic. We also have a couple of guys named Savinho and Doku who could have opened up the game from the opening. KDB, Bernardo, Lewis and McAtee should never have started. Southampton could have defended until midnight. We weren't scoring.

Leaving your better players and in form players on the bench didn't help either.

Rico and McAtee are nowhere near good enough, Phil has barely kicked a ball in months along with Akanji and they are also thrown in.

We missed Marmoush movement massively, Then again when he does play Marmoush he fucks him out wide left or like Wolves wide right which is fucking ludicrous.

Pep got it incredibly wrong today.

Exactly, you cannot expect us to beat this historic Southampton team without Rodri. Near fucking impossible. The manager did all he could.
