Southampton (A) Post-Match Thread

Result doesn’t matter one bit but that Sums up our season really well. A defensive fuck up costing us dearly then having total control but poor finishing costs us points.

We only have the one way of playing and when it’s shut down we don’t have an alternative. the fact we’ve lost 9 games this season now says we’re too easy to play against.

A finisher and pace on the wings are just as important as a centre back this summer otherwise we can expect more of these kind of games next season.

Fair play to Southampton too.

1. We've suffered 9 defeats this season. Wolves have seven, Arsenal and the rags have 8.
2. Southampton conceded 9 to Leicester last autumn.

Zinchenko isn’t and never will be good enough. 9 times out of 10 he goes sideways or backwards and doesn’t appear to even run

Beaten by the team in 13th place with virtually nothing to play for. No, really, that's pretty disgusting. I think back to the Centurions season and all the matches where we just had the drive to snatch it, even in injury time. That has scarcely happened this season.
We have the skill to smash the champions elect, but not the cussedness and determination when our backs are up against it.

Oh well we could have played till midnight and not scored created numerous chances but just one of those days,never seen another team squander so many chances,fair play to Southampton had something to hold onto after the goal,be interesting to see how they go against Everton on Thursday night ...

Cancelo was good but the rest of them were poor. Zinchenko played like Clichy without the pace or composure. Any momentum just dies when it goes out to him and he passes the ball five yards inside.
