Southampton (A) | Pre-Match Thread

This should be a tough enough game, they’re in good form, have a decent manager, they should be well set up for next season.

Hopefully we can perform as we did against Liverpool, Burnley and Arsenal rather than the poor show against Chelsea.

Now Foden and (to a lesser extent) Garcia are getting meaningful game time under their belts, our rotation options are better than ever. I’d like to see those two continue to get plenty of minutes until the end of the league campaign. We’ll want Phil for the cups too but he’s still fresh and no doubt raring to go.

KDB is sure to be rested, as are a few other “seniors” including Walker and Mendy. Cancelo, Bernardo defo in.

Don’t suppose we’ll be too fired up for this one but we should still be able to come away with something.

Strange as City keep flying around Southampton airport with out landing, been round three time now .

Strong winds? Remember that game where we took 2 planes in 1990, horrendous landing.

All sat on the bus and the boos rang out as Swales small plane landed ok. ;)

Time for rotation , we only have one fit striker would like to see Jesus protected , maybe give him 60 minutes to keep him match sharp , Merlin , Stones , Cancelo , Zinchenko , Mahrez , Bernardo back in contention , champs league virtually guaranteed , so lets save the best for the cups.

Loads before as well,u think complaint about Oliver they have decided to revert back to the blind man again

Let's go strong, let's cement top 4 although we are nearly there. Not sure how many points we need but let's get em first. When that's done include the youngsters in prem games and save the rest for champions league and fa Cup!

Would defo start with Jesus but give him 50-60 minutes maximum , hopefully the game is won by then
