Apart from Vienna 1970, Southampton is the longest time I have spent travelling to watch a City match. 1967 away on a Wednesday night. We set off on the North Western coach from Greenbrow Road Wythenshawe at 8 in the morning with pick ups all around Wythenshawe and arrived at the Dell at 6 in the evening. Gutted when Saints made it 3-2 with a late Ron Davies goal. Back on the coach at 10 and arrived back home at 8 the following morning. Virtually spent 20 hours on the coach that day. After all the hundreds if not thousands of City games I have watched I will still be nervous tonight. Come on City. Come on you Irons and come on the Eagles.

Indeed RoddersEl Cid? Which Spanish player are you referring to? My guess is Rodri but not sure...just realised that with Merlin & Torres gone, Rodri appears to be the only regular left unless you count Laporte as being Spanish

Calm down, dont be so greedy. A bit much to expect us to get a point this game, sure they are on the bottom half, but they are a bloody good team. If we can keep our defeat to only 1 or 2 goals it will be a job well done.Bloody good team Southampton. They'll be extremely tough and will want to end our run. I'll take 1-1 now.
