Live on Sky Sports (in the UK), kick off 17:30 (GMT).

A chance to extend our winning run to 13 league games. It's a game that you would expect us to win but Southampton made life difficult at the Etihad earlier in the sesason, holding us to a 0-0 draw. It didn't help that only 1 of our 16 shots that day was on target. Southampton are in decent form picking up 8 points in the last 5 games, whatever we do, don't give away any free kicks in shooting range.

This is our last game before a 2 week international break (European players have a rest). I'd guess our lads will get a rest with their families for a couple of days and some warm weather training. Our next match after this is Fulham (H) in the FA Cup on the 5th Feb.

Absentees v Chelsea
Mahrez - AFCON
Palmer
Zinchenko
Ake

What wrong with Palmer

Agreed. It won't be easy. That being said, they weren't great at Molyneux yesterday.

Yep, but they almost still stole a late draw with header off the crossbar.

Lost count the amount of times we have laboured to get a result against this lot.

TV no doubt also invested in a shock result with the 5.30pm KO.

Hopefully we can score early.

Ederson

Walker
Dias
Laporte
Cancelo

Rodri
Bernardo
Gundogan

Sterling (Wide right)
Foden (Wide left)
De Bruyne (False 9)

Going to be a tough test this, Another game were we have to be patient against a low block team.

Saints 0-2 Champions

You have written "8 points in the last 15 games" for Southampton's form, mate.

-------------------Ederson
Walker-----Dias-----Laporte-----Cancelo
---------------------Rodri
-------------Silva---------Gundo
Sterling----------KDB------------Foden

With Mahrez away, that is comfortably our best XI in my opinion.

It gets all of our best players in the team and in their best positions.

Raz on the right where he can concentrate on driving at the opposition full-back.

Phil on the left which I think is a better fit to link up with Cancelo.

De Bruyne, Gundogan and Bernardo can all interchange.
