We need as many play makers as possible in this game and we definitely need Sterling because Southampton low block are on if the best.

There main aim is 0-0 and hoping for a set piece for Ward-Prowse

Depends whether Pep thinks he needs a rest. Big rest coming after this game anyway and if our squad is still depleted he might be needed as an option off of the bench.

Just realised that Palace will miss several key players vs Liverpool and thus are not likely to get a result. We should concentrate on our game and put in a good performance on Saturday.

Apparently we had 1 shot on target when we played them at home! That shows how good at parking the bus Southampton are.

And how hesitant/reluctant we are at getting the ball in the box.

Wasn't to do with us being reluctant, it was the fact that Southamptons press completely baffled us. We couldn't move the ball through midfield.

Like I've said we're much stronger now. We didn't have Kev firing, Sterling was out of form and we had Ake at the back who's passing is nowhere near Stones/Laporte etc.

These fuckers always give us a tough time, I hate playing them. The games are usually horrible, sterile affairs.

this is key for me the form. when city hit top gear nobody and i mean nobody can hold us home or away
yes southampton will be a hard game and they will setup to defend deep and hit us on the break.
but its nothing new with the premier league midtable teams and we have to respect them

We didn't have Rodri. Ferna isn't as good at receiving and moving the ball, even at his best he was inferior to (this) Rodri in that respect.
