We got the 3 points and we keep moving. It wasn't a classic to watch though.
True, I get that but ideally you want to be taking maybe Erling and Bernardo off and bring on McAtee and Gundo but hard to do that at 1-0But we couldn’t rest players. We had five outfielders on the bench, two of whom needed a rest (Gundo and Stones). Who would you have brought on. As long as we were leading Pep was going to keep the original eleven on the pitch.
I think its that Peter Sutcliffe lookalike in charge of them. He gets his teams to play good football and he demands they pass the ball. Sometimes though they need to scrap a point away at those at the end of the table and he wont budge on his principles
Not sure about that. Literally had every player inside their own box, multiple times. I hate that anti-football shite. They will finish bottom, 100%. City were really poor, as bad as I have seen them in two years, but they still only mustered two weak attempts on goal. Dire. No idea where the 'they play good football' comes from. They do not. Today, neither did we, for balanceI hope Soton stay up. Played great football and sold out their end. No rubbish songs either. I was nervous all game due to their skill.
Not at it.I nearly nodded off several times.
In the past we’d have annihilated cannon fodder like that 8-0.
3 points etc but we’re really not at it this season (yet).
