Not really, the best way to conserve energy is to just keep the ball, and know that a goal will come at some point.

Sometimes that will lead to a 1-0 win other times it might be 3 or 4, but the over arching theme is that we win games, hence the record broken in midweek and again this weekend.

It may not always be easy on the eye, but have a bit of respect for the fact that this team are en route to winning the league for the 5th time in a row, who cares how they do it

I actually thought the second half against Sparta Prague was exciting and some great goals.

Have you ever asked yourself as to why home games haven't been great? Every single opposition time wasting and parking the bus?

Kovacic has been outstanding this season, We are unbeaten all season even though we've already face Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Inter Milan, Newcastle ect None of which could beat us even though we are missing numerous players.

A bit possibly, but make all the excuses we like and it's been poor,high standards I know,but nobody is telling me we've been impressive? Simply haven't it's been bang average at best,no rodri or kev is killing us,we're doing great to hang in there for now it's been a hard watch so far and yes nobody takes us on but we look miles off for me. Southampton are better than their league position suggests. They came and defended well but also tried to attack. Seen a lot worse go to Etihad and get something. They will go down playing like that though because they probably need to score 3 to win any game (usually).

This is getting a lot of stick but it’s not really far from the truth.. We have been poor, as we have been at this point for the last few seasons, obviously injuries playing its part this year but still we’re slow and not firing on all cylinders. But then again we’re sat top of the league for now and unbeaten so can’t complain too much regardless of what we know we can expect from this team. Personally I see it as we’re only gonna improve so take it as a positive but I can see why people get rattled cause we’re only a few different decisions and some wasted chances away from being behind the pack. One things for certain they’ll all be looking at us expecting a slip and these slim wins will be in their heads so god help them when we’re full strength and at full pace, that will crush them

We haven't been poor though have we? Poor was getting 2 points in the opening 11 games, not scoring a goal at home after new years day etc etc. We've been below par definitely but we are still top albeit with Liverpool having a tough game in hand. This was always going to be a tough start to the season considering when our players finished last season, compounded by losing KDB and Rodri. All things considered we've had a good start and given ourselves a great position to build from.

Taking today in isolation we could have easily won 5 nil on another day.

You’re right,but if we stop letting our defenders dictate the game they have the ball more than anyone,give it to the players who can effect the game the midfielders/wingers and be slightly more direct in our play instead of the safe option side to side and back,possession is great when used correctly,fortunate favours the brave ..
