He’s really antsy tonight. Is it because it was one of those performances that has cost us the champions league in the past? It can’t just be the penalty. Or has something else happened? He seemed grumpy before the game. I remember him bein like this a year or two ago and it turned out his family got pressure from the police about a Catalonia issue.

It's unrealistic to expect VAR to get everything right but every other game has a talking point. It's failed no question and we don't need any more time to finesse it.

I am sure in years to come we will have technology that works but at the moment VAR is not working. A shame that a wonderful performance by Riyadh has been overshadowed by VAR again.

What's Pep said then?

He basically called out Chippy Tits and said that what we’ve won we have won all by ourselves. Listed a bunch of fucked ho decisions that have happened to us and other clubs this season.

Clearly implying we have no help from refs or VAR.

Hes probably sick to death of the inane questioning , sly digs (did you take a bribe) , down playing our fantastic achievements , money jibes , the team and him getting very little credit for the way we play and how he has completely changed english football for the better

Again, it’s hypothetical anyway as it didn’t happen but the law clearly states that it would not be a red card. Here is the law:

“Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off.”
Well, by that standard Dias could have been sent off for resting a hand on Salah's shoulder last month.

ive seen a good close up and watched it about 50 times and there is a very fine touch on the ball from the keeper, he still follows through to foul Foden, but there was a touch of the ball

Hey, that’s not fair!
Everything but the Girl are/were talented
Hinchclffe is just a ****

Glad pep talked about the throw-ins and the small errors that put the team in bad spots.

seems like he was happy with most things up top and frustrated at the back.

sorry to say it, but I think we looked more stable and dangerous up top without sterling.

I haven't seen a visiting team control the ball as Saints did last night in the first 40 mins for as long as i can remember. They had 70% possession in the first 10 minutes which gotta be some sort of record against us. Well played to Saints.

As for us, it was great to come back to winning ways. Mahrez was brilliant again. Has a habit of standing in tough situations. It was good to see KDB score a brace too, hopefully that's a major step for him to return to his brilliant best.

Overall, a great game

A bit like the old City:
Some brain farts at the back,
Some slick and quick magic in midfield,
Tally ho, attack at will, chaps,
Some decent finishes and a few misses.
What's not to like?
