Southampton (H) | Post-Match Thread

Poor take. The referee wants taking out back and shooting for that call, as does the coward having a wank in the VAR booth. Nothing to do with Phil but a pair of blind, corrupt cum stains.
Maybe in an ideal world but we are far from that unfortunately, and while I would never want Phil to start cheating....there are times it seems you have to put a ribbon on things to gain your award.
Youre right though,if the cunts officiating were fit for purpose it would not be necessary

right we have to put the officials and VAR to the back burner ? the match itself was a open game full of goals and plenty of mistakes by both teams

i sit today still puzzled to why southampton played like they did last night. when the other week they got rolled over at the swamp. ok early sending off did not help but you think they would have group together and give it a go and fight to keep the score down and keep it respectable vs utd

but its not just southampton that come here and play and fight for everything its a puzzle ? ok city are a good teams not champions so the tag of wanting to show up at the home of the champions ?

good to see KDB getting fitter and scoring and playing better. also aguero getting 20 mins. foden has to play so the tempo does not drop. gundogan is not a holding midfielder and is a shadow of the mr whippy we have seen but a good goal at the right time and city 3.1 up at half time. 2nd half was crazy and city could have had more goals than the 5 and southampton looked dangerous on the attack

Ward-Prowse will not be at southampton next season would even fit into our squad nicely. he's got a great touch and fines a pass plus the freekicks. great player and the big clubs will be all over him in the summer

Ward-Prowse is a fantastic player and would be a perfect Pep player. We need someone to take set pieces as well.

I thought it was a decent match, glad Foden tried to stay up and credit to him.
Sometimes we dominated games and pass and pass and pass again, but last night we were sometimes off it then on it and our subs getting a run out to get some fitness.
A decent game and another step towards the title.

Foden just has to start games.

Tell you what, I don't know if it was sad or great to see in equal measure?

Some of the runs Sergio made were a reminder of what an elite, formerly, world class striker, does.

The intelligence, the instincts.

The sad part was seeing him make those runs but his legs just not quite getting him at the coalface.

Some of that will hopefully be down to a lack of minutes.

If I still had to back anybody with my last penny in the dying moments of a Champions League final, five yards out, it would still be him this season.
