Glad to hear Pep giving it both barrels. I'm sick of the shit City have been getting on the pitch re penalties and off the pitch, from all the snide crap from other teams and the media. We should be standing up for ourselves these days, giving some stick back, slagging off the refs and VAR for the crap decisions that are going against on a regular basis.
Put some pressure on the FA and PIGMOL, let them know we ain't happy and if the crap continues there'll be trouble (obviously there won't but what the heck).
Yes, it's good sometimes to maintain a dignified silence and stay above it but feck it, I'd love us to come out swinging sometimes.

I understand the process for reviewing a possible penalty is for the VAR to recommend to the referee that he should consult the monitor to decide. The VAR must have decided it clearly was not a penalty.

The only plausible reason for not asking the ref to review the monitor Is corruption. What other explanation is there?
 
Strange performance and like previous games rags,wolves and west ham conceding far too easily now,when before we looked absolutely rock solid yes we won and that’s all that matters but we are no where near the level we played at before West Ham anyhow onto Fulham Saturday evening..
 
A strange mix of dreadful and sublime spells. That first half was the worst we’ve been all season, miles worse than United. Pep sorted the mess amongst the front players at half time and we looked brilliant for a 15 minutes but then the subs and tiredness/game management subdued us again.
I’ll take it.
 
A game of absolute contrasts ...for large parts of the first half we were just awful to a man (even enderson) - we couldnt string two passes together and then ended up 1-0 up (great pass by Dias i think to zinchenko)

A stupid error by Laporte for the penalty to make it 1-1- and then up until KDB and Mahrez combined to make it 2-1, Southampton were more than matching us...and upto that point KDB (goal aside) and Mahrez had both been woeful.

The second half we were much better for periods of the the game.
Worryingly, we looked wide open through midfield and again Im not sure if KDB is part of that problem....

On the flip side we scored some great goals and Foden was instrumental again and at Sergio got some mins in...he needs more. butt he snap shot at the near post is a reminder of what he can do

Do wonder what got up Ederson's nose so much from Betrand?

Tbf it's been downvoted to shit on the page, normally anti-City stuff gets upvoted galore so fans aren't having it thankfully.

Not sure the problem is the defence but the players in front of them. We need to go back to the solid 3 of Rodri, Bernardo and Gundogan. KDB, Mahrez and Foden up front with Sterling/Jesus/Sergio from the bench or rotation.

A blind adjudicator there is clear contact.

I thought their penalty by comparison was a joke , no attempt to inhibit the player from Laporte.
