Absolutely agree free speech and different opinions but some posters don’t engage their brains and talk utter garbage. Just my opinion

Ah, ok, so you are arguing in bad faith.

Have a good evening.
I am not arguing in bad faith but merely responding to a post from Harry the Blue claiming that Pep is the greatest coach ever. Especially after today’s showing. Harry the Blue’s greatest coach ever has the chance to prove it against Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool.
A good evening to you.

The worry for me was the complete lack of control of the midfield. Not creating is one thing but not being able to control the game at home, vs southampton is a bit of a worry. Not to mention how easy it looks to bypass our midfield.

We'll find out over the next two weeks which way this season will go.

Don't get the bleating?
We were rubbish
Don't play well, don't win.
Snapshot of the season for me,huff and puff, but don't blow any houses down when it's tight, without a top class centre forward/ goal scorer. Simple. We face a long season struggling against rubbish like that because of our lack of one. Hope I'm proved wrong. Up the Blues ps Kane? Ronaldo? We win today..

What a load of shit, Sterling was due to start. On what evidence is he due to start over Torres since the start of the season?
I actually laughed to myself today when he played the ball back off himself in the 87th minute.
Torres is shite, if that's our goal threat I'll take 2 left feet sterling's hopeless finishing!

Poor performance really.

You wouldn’t mind so much if Southampton played out of their skins but they didn’t, they were solid at best and thankfully poor up front.

our passing was awful, seemed to be second to every loose ball and way too passive.

maybe I’m being overly critical here considering the amount of goals we have scored, but I think in games like today, you might need a real number 9 who have some presence and cause problems in the box. The amount of times we put balls into the box and it was always comfortable for Southampton, it highlights what were missing at times.

the worry is that without that, teams might suss out that all our play is based around a similar form of attack. Then if they set up for only that, they have a good chance at nullifying us.

we’ll be ok, we have enough quality. I just think we’re becoming a bit obvious in our attacking play. When it works, it’s great to see but we don’t have much of a plan B.
I don’t think you are.

We have played 5 matches in the EPL this season and we have only scored multiple goals in 2 of them (Norwich and Arsenal).

Against Spurs, Leicester and Southampton (270 mins of football) we have managed only 1 goal. Whilst defensively tight, our attaching prowess is lacking. If you add the Community Shield and the CL to this run of matches (against EPL opposition) its 1 goal in 5 matches (450 minutes).

It’s an alarming trend and frankly not good enough for a team that has ambitions for competing in all comps. Unfortunately, I think it’s more than just a striker we need to fix it.

Nope, we are all supposed to just agree that Pep got everything right, the players did the very best they could but we didn't win and we should just put up or shut up.
just a bit.
