But yes, I personally have always worried about a small squad, particularly when injuries hit. We are constantly blighted by players out.

There are more positive posts in this thread about Gündoğan than there are negative. Loads have him starting in their team.

The most negative it gets is ‘he could do with a rest’ and ‘Gundo is the weakest link at the moment’. I actually agree with both.

He did look better in defensive mid the other night than he has in attacking mid all season though, so maybe he could play there. He gets a good rest for not playing international football anymore, I’d just like him to have a bit of time where he works on his fitness and sharpness which has looked off.

He’s played a lot better and contributed to a lot more than some posters are giving him credit for.

Some knobhead in the Sparta Prague thread the other night said he “can no longer even make a pass”. A completely idiotic take.

I looked it up and his pass completion this season is 96%.

And even if he wasn’t quite his old self the guy has more credit in the bank than literally anyone else in our whole squad.
