Southampton seem to save their best performances for us. They have done well against repeatedly and even when we win it’s usually been a struggle. They’re a bit of a bogey side for us over the years. We could really do with a fast start today. They’re low in confidence so going a goal or two down would really deflate them.

If we can play quickly and aggressively today we’ll win but a slow start and we could let them grow you it and you never know with Southampton.

The same was when his Ingolstadt played against Bayern Munich - even if we usually beat them. But it was a hard task.

That is at the Oktoberfest in 2017 or 2018 - when Guardiola already was City coach and before Hasenhüttl got coach of Southhampton:

A half time lead should ease the pressure in this game as I always remember Southampton making it a boring affair
