Southampton (N) | FAC | Post Match Thread

Uncomfortable and without meaning to disrespect Southampton who defended great, it was a bit disappointing not to have had it won earlier with wasted opportunities before we brought the big guns on.
Fair play to Southampton I thought they were great collectively never gave up did everything they could to stifle us, they should take confidence from this in their promotion push they very nearly made us pay.

We got a fortunate deflection to help us equalise and n the end the game was won by a top Nico Gonzalez strike, and I'm glad it was scored by Nico he's been an unsung/forgotten hero this season he's been almost wronged by Rodri's return, he's had a top season then been frozen out by the return of the world's best in his role before coming back in and doing his job scoring the winner

Drama going behind to a top goal from them and had to do it the hard way as usual luckily our big guns were having none of it, we carried on and it took a world class goal to get the winner, which will hopefully drives us on further and keeps confidence sky high.

I can't wait for final but let's take each game as it comes, it's Everton away next in 9 days on a Monday night and it won't be easy.

But, c'mon!! City!!

We looked tired because we were tired!!! what sort of team selection was that, players selected for a fucking semi final who haven't played a competitive game of football in months, fuck me Pep got away with one here today.
 
They were a poor limited team, we made it very difficult for ourselves with team selection and application. But if we win the cup, this game will be forgotten

I swear being a City fan makes my life expectancy is 10-15 years less than it otherwise would have been.

That strike from Nico Gonzalez, after the dross served up for over an hour, is the sort of thing that makes it all worthwhile.

Agree about Marmoush, Reijnders. But sav for once was dangerous. Sadly Phil a shadow. RAN also keeps tripping himself up. But ake and Nunes great. Doku superb. Kova did well. And a thunderbastard from Nico.
 
That was a difficult watch. Made it much harder than it should have been. Really slow first half with no urgency to gets shots on target. Better second half due to changes made. Doku and Savinho poor decision making especially when goalie way up the pitch. Fantastic goal to win it. Another FA cup final. Amazing.
